Oil & Water.

Subtract me from my brain, just two seconds.
All I ever need, exhale, I'm at the bottom of the river.
Undisturbed, trying to gather my belongings.
I can't tell what I started out with, what is this, who is this?
I'm choosing some words, hold onto them dearly.
And I'll pray that they never eat me alive...
And I'll pray for you and your eyes,
That you in this disgusting world can never see me like this.
And asking for help now is committing a crime to the mind.

Sanctuary.

Black on black.
This rainfall is abusively slamming itself down on the pavement.
These butterflies still flutter inside my stomach.
Trapped behind a heavy liner of plastic wrap and tacky glue.
Bubbles forming only to explode.
Their wings to dust, and all hearts to slack.
The dust to build a sanctuary for a new heart.
I want to wrap myself around the battle fields, blow up this cocoon of chaos.
I want to melt between the two strange figures, blow up into the sky like a missile.
Evaporate from your atmosphere, only to keep falling forever more.
